Calculator inputs
Calculations run in your browser. The site does not ask for an account, save your entries to a project, or send calculator inputs to a Taplin Systems database. When you leave or reload a calculator page, the current entries are not retained as a saved calculation.
Locally saved estimates
The Estimator Builder automatically saves working estimates in IndexedDB in your current browser on your current device and website address. These estimates are not uploaded to a Taplin Systems server or synced to an account. Clearing browser data, private browsing, device loss or browser storage cleanup can remove them. Export JSON backups regularly; these files contain your project details, internal costs and markup, so store and share them securely. Preview and published-site storage are separate.
Site delivery
As with other websites, the hosting and network services that deliver pages may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, and access times. This page does not claim that infrastructure logs or browser-level information never exist.
Usage analytics
When analytics is enabled on the published site, Replit-hosted analytics records page visits, successful calculator actions, and outbound Etsy link clicks. Custom events contain only a calculator identifier and action or source labels. They do not contain calculator inputs, financial results, contact information, stage or period names, or order data. Example results, resets, and failed calculations are not counted as completed calculations.
Etsy links
Outbound click events measure visits toward the shop or a document listing, not purchases. Purchases, payments, and downloads take place on Etsy under Etsy’s own privacy policies. Calculator entries and results are not sent to Etsy.
Email signup requests
The Subscribe form collects your email address, optional name and trade, and explicit consent to receive additional free contractor guides, site updates, and announcements about upcoming tools and software. Submissions are forwarded through the connected Gmail service to Taplin Systems and retained in its Gmail inbox for manual follow-up. The form does not create a member account, verify ownership of the submitted email address, or automatically send guides or welcome emails.
Email privacy and opt-out
Your signup details are used to respond to your request and send the email topics you agreed to. Reply unsubscribe to any update to stop future messages, or reply to request removal of your signup information. Contact details are not included in site analytics or application logs. Temporary rate limits and hashed delivery receipts help prevent spam and duplicate requests; they are not a permanent subscriber database. Gmail and the services forwarding requests process signup data to deliver the notification.
Other services
This notice should be updated before adding other accounts, payments, or data collection. Do not put sensitive client details into calculator or subscription fields.
